LOVE: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation

Hi Ladies,

Today i have a new review for you. It's the amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation. I was recently looking at the new Tarte BB cream - i loved the feel of that, but then i figured it was $40 something dollars, i might as well buy a foundation for that price. So then i started looking at tarte's foundation and noticed the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation and instantly fell in love.

I was colour matched at Sephora and they matched me to the colour TAN. However when i went home, i realized i am a bit lighter. (I donno what is up with the matching in sephora sometimes, i blame the lights). I continued to use the foundation, fell even more in love with it and then went to ULTA while i was in the states and bought the foundation that very next weekend.

I have tried using a beauty blender and also a buffing brush, both are good to use. My favourite is the beauty blender, as it gives you a flawless coverage (beauty blender =flawless). Remember, this is a full coverage foundation its so creamy and quite thick in consistency, however using the beauty blender gives just the right amount of coverage, so that you dont look like a cake face!

Here are some before and after pics... WOW i'm really being brave showing these! LOL, but i hope they do help you and show you how amazing this foundation is.

(BOTH PICS WERE TAKEN IN SAME LIGHTING - no flash)

This foundation photographs lovely in natural sun light, however i would be careful with flash photography because it does have SPF in it which causes a white looking face.

12 hour foundation? I think so... It probably does last a good 12 hours with no touch ups on my oily skin!

There are 8 colour selections which range from fair to deep.
PRICE FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL FOUNDATION: $49 dollars at sephora in Canada (pricy!)
So if you are making a trip to the states soon, i suggest going to ULTA or Sephora in the states which it costs $38.00.

Till next time! :)

Dislike: Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Hello beauties,

It's been awhile since my last post, im sorry i've just been busy lately and i always want to do posts but i guess its just finding the time to take some pictures and do some posts.,. However i am going to try to start doing regular reviews on products since i buy so much makeup. I PROMISE!!

Today i am doing a review on the rimmel wake me up concealer. I knew that Rimmel had their wake me up collection in the UK awhile ago and was excited when the line came to Canada. When i first seen it, i immediately bought the products. I bought both the foundation and 2 concealers. (I may do a review on the foundation later, if you would like). I believe there are 4 shades of concealer in the collection.

Left - light/medium (335)
Right - light (245)
I have to say i was not that thrilled with the concealer. I bought two shades - light (245) and light/medium (335). I wanted it for under the eyes as it helps with "anti-fatigue effect and a radiant glow". It sounds amazing, but it wasnt what it lived up to be.

I felt as if it was too watery and didnt do much, it didn't give me a radiant glow or any sort of anti fatigue effect. I didnt feel like the colours complimented my under eye area well either. I like a really brightening effect, but no such thing.

The light/medium was too dark for under my eyes, i do try to use it on any spot areas that may need to be covered.

The light colour was too pink for my under eye area. I sometimes do like pink, but not too pink. This just didnt work for me. Everytime i tried to put the light concealer on my eye, i felt as if my makeup looked funny for the rest of the day. I do still try to use the light concealer as well, mixing it with another concealer, which is not bad but definitely not one of my go-to under eye concealers.

It may have worked better, if they had better shade availability, but i still am not too keen on the consistency either.

So overall, i would skip buying this and save your $6.00 and try another under eye concealer!

My rating: 1.5/5
